Lake Buena Vista- A 13-year-old was pulled from a swimming pool after being found unconscious at a Walt Disney World resort.

The boy remains in critical condition after being found in the water around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Disney's Pop Century Resort in the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista.

Orange County sheriff's officials say the boy was playing and jumping in the large pool with family members, who are visiting Central Florida from Missouri, and was not seen for several minutes. He was then spotted underwater by his cousin who pulled him out, deputies said.

The boy's father performed CPR and was assisted by a bystander- several guests called 911, deputies said.

Numerous guests were in the swimming pool at the time, deputies said.

The boy was breathing when he was taken to a hospital in Celebration, but sheriff's officials said he's still in critical condition.

"Our concern is for the young man and his family. We have reached out to the family to offer our assistance and support," Disney said in a statement.
